We recently conducted a survey of 1,000 users for their opinions on what factors they take into account before responding to an ad or even reading an ad, and some of the results my surprise you! Here is what we found:

72% of those surveyed agreed that ads that are short and contain very little information in regards to the person(s) interests or desires will be overlooked almost immediately. The responses we recieved stated that they prefer a title to catch their eye and invite them to read more. They went on to say that the more information contained in an ad, the more likely they will not pass it by without reading it first. (size does matter)

83% of those surveyed agreed that ads that contain a picture/video/audio clip are more likely to get them to read the ad or respond to the ad. Their reasons varied from: It shows a genuine interest, to putting a face with a profile as well as it seperates your ad from those who don't post a picture with their profile. (Everyone likes to see who they are responding to)

75% of those surveyed stated that even though it is free to contact other members, that those whose memberships that are marked premium, are more likely to get a response from them because more times then not they have included the above factors in their ad, as well as they are more likely to get a quick response back.(everyone likes to be responded to whether it be no thank you or yes! lets hook up!)
